Draft

You don't need a club to start a group. Post the ride you'd like to do, set the pace, and let riders near you join.

Posting a ride takes a minute.

Start with the route: upload a .gpx and Draft fills in the distance and start point. No file? Set the start, the distance and the time yourself. Then tag the ride road, gravel, MTB or mixed.

Add a pace bracket in km/h and, if you want to keep it small, a maximum number of spots. Once it's posted, riders within range see it in their feed, and you can share the link with anyone else you want along.

What makes a ride social.

  • An honest pace

Set the pace you'll really ride, not the one you'd like to. Riders choose by it, and a group that fits together stays together.

  • A description that sets the tone

Say whether you wait on climbs, where the coffee stop is and who the ride suits. Two lines save a lot of guessing.

  • A size you can keep together

Six riders are easier to keep together than twenty. Cap the spots if you'd rather know everyone's name by the end.

One ride is enough to start.

Draft is young and plenty of areas are waiting for their first ride. Post yours even if you expect a small turnout. A planned ride is what the next rider nearby finds when they open the app.

Common questions.

Do I need to be an experienced ride leader?
No. Know your route, set a pace you can hold comfortably and keep the group small the first time. Hosting a social ride is mostly riding your own loop with company.
What if nobody joins?
Then you ride the loop you'd planned anyway. Share the ride's link with people you know and post it again next week. Groups take a few rides to form.
Can I change or cancel a ride after posting it?
Yes. You can edit or cancel a ride you host.
Is Draft free?
Yes. Draft is free to download and use, with no subscription.
Do I need to be a member of a club?
No. Draft isn't a club and has no membership. Anyone with the app can join a public ride or host one.
